Lunch Orders

A lunch order service is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Orders are to be placed online via the Flexischools app.

Lunch orders are supplied by an offsite provider, this means there are no “over the counter sales”.  Orders are delivered to the classrooms in time for the lunch time eating break (mid afternoon).

How to Place an Order

  1.     Log in to the Flexischools App
  2.     Click ‘Order food’ at the top of the app home screen
  3.     Select which student you would like to place an order for
  4.     Choose which service you would like to order (e.g. lunch)
  5.     Choose which date to order
  6.     Select any items you want to order
  7.     When you have finished adding items, click ‘confirm order’
  8.     Complete payment to place your order

The order cut-off time is 7.45 am on the day of ordering

Note that there is an option in the app to order flx account cards for your children – please do not select this as these cards can only be used for over the counter sales which are not available at our school.

Payment Methods

Payment can be made by using your flexischools account (however, this will need to have funds in it).

You can add funds by:

  1. Selecting the Wallet icon in the navigation bar at the bottom of your screen.
  2. From there select the TOP UP button and then your preferred payment method.

Or just pay for this order, this time.

Note that orders can be paid by credit or debit card.  If you do not have a credit or debit card or wish to avoid the above additional fees you can pay by EFT (direct deposit) to your flexischools account.  However, you need to be aware that funds may take up to 5 days to clear into your account and that your order cannot be placed until the funds have cleared into your flexischools account. Please ensure that you use the reference number that Flexischools provide so that funds can be allocated to your account.

Other Charges

Please note the following other charges that will apply to orders

There is a 29c fee per canteen order placed, this is irrelative of the amount of the order.

Flexischools is charged fees by financial institutions when users pay using debit card, credit card, prepaid card or PayPal. The costs associated with accepting these payment methods are significant.  Rather than Flexischools increasing fees for all users to compensate for the acceptance costs of those payment methods, Flexischools allows customers to make the choice as to the payment method they use.  For example, to pay by direct deposit is no surcharge. However, the following surcharges apply for credit/debit cards and Paypal:

  • Visa Debit and Prepaid – $0.05 + 0.7% of the transaction amount, payable at the time of the relevant transaction.
  • Visa Credit and Other – $0.05 + 0.7% of the transaction amount, payable at the time of the relevant transaction. 
  • Mastercard Debit and Prepaid – $0.05 + 1.25% of the transaction amount, payable at the time of the relevant transaction. 
  • Mastercard Credit and Other – $0.05 + 1% of the transaction amount, payable at the time of the relevant transaction.
  • Paypal – $0.07 + 0.9% of the transaction amount, payable at the time of the relevant transaction.

 Cancellations

To cancel an order:

  1. From the Orders icon on the bottom navigation bar, select the student whose order you’d like to cancel.
  2. On the relevant order, select the “…” icon to expand the available options. From here, select ‘Cancel Order’.
  3. Tap yes to confirm. Your order will be cancelled and the funds will be returned to your Flexischools wallet.

Orders can be cancelled up until 8.45am on the date of the order.

For late cancellations (i.e. child picked up from school sick) you can email stanthonyscanteen@hotmail.com up until 11am on the day.

Other Points to Note and Remember

  • If  “apps” are not your thing, or you like to use a bigger screen, you can register and order via the flexischools website www.flexischools.com.au –  the steps will be different to the instructions provided here for the app but should be fairly easy to follow
  • Once you have ordered, check that you have received a confirmation email – make sure that the date for the order and the items, your child’s name and class are correct
  • Remember that you need to place a separate order for each of your children
  • All orders are to be placed via the FLEXISCHOOLS APP – note that orders cannot and will not be accepted at the school office or in classrooms. This is an online service and food is prepared off site by an external provider and will be delivered to the school in time for lunch on these days.  There will be no over the counter sales.
