Waterways excursion for Year 3, 4, 5 & 6
Throughout the last few weeks, the Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 classes got to experience a Waterways excursion.
Waterways was located at Altona Beach. At the beach the 4, 5 and 6’s got to do a series of activities in and out of the water such as rescue drills, learning how to save someone if they are in trouble, and the dangers we had to look out for while on the beach.
The reason that we went to waterways is because recently there’s been a lot of floods happening in Australia so the more we learn about water the more aware we are of what can happen.
All the students had a fun time at Altona beach and we even got to play on some boogie board in the water!
