Year 2 Incursion
During Term Four, students explored the big question ‘What makes it move?’. The students followed the Inquiry process to discover and use forces and motion to move and change objects.
As part of their inquiry unit Jonathan from ‘Learning by Doing’ came to work with the Year 2 students on Monday December 13th. During the incursion students worked on workbenches to produce their final product which was a timber spaceship. Each child learnt how to use a coping saw, how to sand wood to make it smooth and found ways to repurpose scraps of wood. Jonathan engaged students throughout the sessions and made it a lot of fun.
