Specialist News
Students have begun the year excitedly exploring how different types of energy and forces shape the world around us, in our new specialist subject ‘Science’.
Foundation are investigating how an object’s size, shape, and material affect its movements, such as spinning, bouncing, rolling, and sliding.
Year 1 is exploring sound, by discovering how vibrations create noise and how actions change pitch and volume.
Year 2 is learning about push and pull forces and how they can change an object’s movement or shape.
Year 3 are examining heat energy, exploring sources of heat and how it transfers between objects!
Year 4 are Investigating contact and non-contact forces, including friction, magnetism, and gravity.
Year 5 are exploring how light travels, forms shadows, and interacts with different materials through reflection, absorption, and refraction.
Year 6 is studying electricity by building circuits and learning how energy is transferred and transformed through conductors and insulators.
We look forward to an amazing year continuing to explore other interesting science domains.
