Police visit Year 5 & 6 students
Yesterday, police officers Daniel and Jason from the Proactive Policing Unit presented to our Year 5 & 6 students the Think You Know Program.
Some of the topics discussed included cyber safety, bullying, criminal records, assault, and the issues around vaping.
The police officers discussed consequences of risky behaviours in person and online to educate our students to ensure they make informed choices. The students were surprised that children from the age of 10 could be charged and brought before a judge on some of the issues discussed. Students found the presentation engaging, it generated lots of discussion about how their behaviours can be positive.
