Students in years 3-6 will soon be participating in the “OZ Rocks” times table competition. It is a 3 day competition from October 17th – October 19th – WEEK 3. Students will participate in the competition at school, however can also access the competition at home after school until they reach their 60min daily cap.
Oz Rocks is a free, online times tables competition for schools in Australia. By taking part we hope to boost maths confidence and get the school buzzing!
HOW DOES OZ ROCKS WORK?
Students answer as many multiplication and division questions correctly as they can online, using the TT Rock Stars platform. The winning school and class will be based on the highest average number of correct answers per student.
RULES:
- Every correct answer that a student gives, in any game type, between the hours of 7:30am AEDT to 7:30pm AEDT each day will contribute to their class and school score.
- There is a 60-minute limit playtime per player, per day.
- Each class has a minimum player count of 10. If fewer than 10 in the class play in the competition, their total will be divided by 10 regardless.
