National Wool Museum

Year 3 Excursion

On Thursday 23rd of October the Year 3’s made the trek down the coast to Geelong. We visited the National Wool Museum to better understand the process a fibre called wool went through to go from sheep to shop.

We were able to see what an old sheep farm looked like as well as the most expensive bale of wool ever sold in Australia! Hint… a lot of money.

We created our own woolen felt bookmarks using coloured wool and visited a refurbished carousel which has a rich history of its own, down by the beach.

The day was a lot of fun and a new experience for many of the students.
