Learning to Ride

Burmese Playgroup

For the past 3 weeks the Burmese playgroup have enjoyed Edmund Rice Community Services coming out to help the children learn how to ride a bike.  Edmund Rice Community Services brought out balance bikes and helmets for all of the children to ride safely and created some obstacle courses and challenges for them to ride through.  Today the playgroup ventured down to the Atherstone Traffic School to put their bike riding skills to the test.  It has been great to see the children improve their bike riding and have beaming smiles on their faces.

Encouraging your child to ride a bike while they’re young helps to establish healthy exercise habits that are likely to stay with them for life. Riding a bike not only improves physical fitness, it also benefits your child’s learning development and mental health.
