Better Place Australia

Better Place Australia are pleased to offer students of St Anthony’s Melton an onsite counselling service.

Better Place Australia is currently funded to provide:
Supporting Children After Separation Program (SCASP) is a counselling program that aims to promote and support the wellbeing of children and young people between the ages of 5-18 years from separated or separating families. The service primarily helps children and young people deal with issues arising from the breakdown of their parents’ relationship and provides a range of age-appropriate interventions. SCASP counsellors are trained and skilled in building trust and rapport with both parents and children to provide children with a safe environment to discuss their feelings and experiences of family separation, encourage them to engage and articulate their feelings, identify their specific needs and work towards achieving their goals within the episode of care. An episode of care can range between 8-12 counselling sessions held at the school.

If you are interested in your child having counselling please discuss with the wellbeing team to make a referral.
