Year 1’s learn about sustainability
Last week, Year 1 students learnt about bees. They listened to stories about bees and wrote a persuasive piece about the importance of bees in our environment. The students also discovered some important facts about how to look after our bee population.
The Year 1 students learnt that by planting flowers they are able to help support our bee population. They were lucky enough to be able to decorate some pots and plant edible flowers and grass in them. These pots and materials were kindly donated by Bunnings Melton as a part of their community and schools’ program.
We would like to thank Bunnings for their generous donation of all materials for this task.
