Animal Land

Foundation Excursion

Last Thursday, 19th of June, Foundation students went to the farm at Animal Land in Diggers Rest as part of their inquiry unit ‘What makes a place special?’. Students had the opportunity to learn how to care for the special place in which farm animals live. Activities included pony rides, milking the cow and churning the butter, ponding, poopa scooping, tractor rides and feeding the animals on the farm. The animals they saw included cows, pigs, ducks, chickens, goats, alpacas, llamas, turkeys, rabbits, sheep to name a few. All students braved the cold and had a wonderful day experiencing life on the farm.
