Professional Learning Day
Last Thursday our staff were lucky enough to be involved in a professional learning day with Karina Stocker. Karina is passionate about the use of evidence-based literacy instruction and positive behaviour support practices in Australian schools.
Our staff explored the theory and research underpinning high rates of Opportunities to Respond (OTRs) and why they are essential for both learning and behaviour. Karina also focused on translating this theory into practice. Our staff examined practical strategies for embedding high-quality OTRs within classroom settings, with attention to lesson design, pacing, and establishing instructional routines.
