Help the Year 2 students adopt a Platypus
Last term, our Year 2 students learnt about stewardship and the importance of caring for God’s creation. We discovered that the platypus is a threatened and endangered species in parts of Australia, and our students felt inspired to take action to help protect this unique animal.
This term, we are learning about forces and the design process in science and technology. The students have followed this process to create their very own handmade bracelets and keyrings. Their goal is to raise $180 to adopt a platypus through the WWF (World Wildlife Fund) Australia Adoption Program.
To raise the money, Year 2 will be selling their creations before the school concerts in Week 9.
Cash sales only:
- Bracelets: $1
- Keyrings: $2
By supporting this project, you are not only helping our students put their learning into action but also helping to protect one of Australia’s most iconic species. Families can learn more about the adoption process and its benefits by visiting the link below.
We encourage all families to get behind our cause and help us reach our goal. Together, we can save the platypus!
