Week 6 Cafe Update

Week 6 Cafe

This term our Year 4 students are involved with CAFE. They prepare, cook and serve food and drinks to customers on Monday for lunch.

Read through the experiences from some of our students on Monday.

I made cheese cake. I made it by adding butter with biscuits and cheese. We mixed them altogether. We placed them in the fridge and waited for a little while.

I made sausage rolls. I used 8 cups of breadcrumbs, 4 onions, 4 teaspoons of tomato sauce and three rolls of sausage mince.

My role in CAFE was Barista. My job was to make tea, coffee and hot chocolate.

My role in CAFE was being a waitress. I was taking people’s orders, then I had to give the order to the people in the kitchen. When they gave me the food I then took it to the customers.

I made cheese cake. The ingredients were: 180 grams of chopped biscuits, 360 grams of sour cream and white chocolate. Then finally I put them in the freezer for 1 and half hours. Then I put a strawberry on top of the cheese cake.

In the CAFE I was a Barista and I had to take the order for hot drinks. I made tea, coffee and hot chocolate.

I enjoyed cooking because it is the main part and I learnt how to make sausage rolls. I also enjoyed being a waitress and seeing people’s smiles on their face when they got their food.

The Year 6 students helped in the CAFE by helping us to get the ingredients and showing us how to use the knives properly.

My role in CAFE was being a waiter. A waiter is a male who takes orders from the guests and then shows the order to the people who made the food. Then to give the guests the food they ordered.
