Divisional Netball Tournament
Last week, St Anthony’s Girls Netball Team were invited to participate in a Divisional Netball Tournament in New Gisborne.
We had a successful day, coming in second place (runners up) overall. In the first match, we played against the very skillful and consistent Braemar College from Woodend. They beat us 26 to 9. Next we played against St Bernard’s Primary School from Bacchus Marsh. After a tough first quarter, scoring goal for goal, we came back on firing and ready to win. We defeated St Bernards 11 to 5. We also won our final game against Melton West Primary School, 13 to 3.
We would like to congratulate Braemar College. We wish them the very best at the next level. We are so thankful for the opportunity, and thank you to our coaches, Mrs Herring and Miss Conroy. We would also like to thank Mrs Parente and Mrs Lafranchi for the hard work they put into training us.
