5th to 12th of July
During the school holidays NAIDOC Week was celebrated from the 5th to 12th of July. NAIDOC Week is an annual celebration held in Australia to honor the rich history, cultures, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It is a fun, engaging time to learn about and celebrate the oldest continuous living cultures on Earth through stories, art, and community events.
Our Fire Carrier leaders helped plan, organise and run a range of activities for the St Anthony’s students to partake in during recess and lunch times last week. The experiences ranged from Indigenous craft, art, dance, storytelling and games. They also promoted a colouring in competition that will be announced shortly.
