Year 4 Incursion
On Wednesday, students participated in the First Nations. First Fleet. First Contact incursion with master storyteller, Jan. He shared amazing true stories of the first contact between Indigenous Australians and colonists through song and images. Students engaged and sang Indigenous and Convict songs, along with a fun dance.
It was incredible for the Year 4 students to listen to two perspectives along with endless questions being asked.
Here’s a fun fact, did you know, that initially Melbourne was called Bearbrass?!
