Sovereign Hill

Year 5 Excursion

On Friday the Year 5 students went to Sovereign Hill to experience what life was like during the Gold Rush. We experienced the times from different perspectives and learnt a lot about the challenges different communities faced.

The best thing about Sovereign Hill was learning about the Chinese culture and the houses they lived in. The lollies were good too.

Akshiv 5A

We saw the Chinese Temple and they lived at the bottom of the hill because they were treated unfairly.

Peysha 5B

We drove to Sovereign Hill in Ballarat and got to explore the different cultures, the Chinese village, the Gold Miners tents and we got to pan for gold.

Thony 5C

I really liked when we went into the mines and when we saw how the gold bars were made.
